6 MAIN PLACES OF INTEREST IN KHARKOV

Hi. Today we will talk about the wonderful city of Kharkov. Where all beautiful Ukrainian ladies live 🙂

It is one of the biggest and most populated cities of Ukraine. There’re a lot of places of interest there and if you are a foreigner, it will take you much time to visit all of them. Here we will try to describe the sights, which you must visit, while you are staying in this city. All the same, most of them are situated at the city centre.

1. Svobody Square

The first place to visit is Svobody Square. This square is one of the biggest in Europe. Life is always in a full swing here: in winter you can see incredible ice sculptures and in summer there’re a lot of exhibitions, travelling zoos, etc.

That’s why the square is always full of loving couples. You can find your second half too. Choose a suitable woman here http://www.ukrainianfiancee.com/ and visit Svobody Square with her.

2. Gorky Park

Entertainment plays an important role in the life of a busy city. There should always be a place, where people can go on the weekend and relax. And Kharkiv has such a place: Gorkyi Park.

The first trees were planted there more than a hundred years ago. Unfortunately, it was seriously damaged during WWII. But the citizens united their efforts and rebuilt the park. The last reconstruction was three years ago and after that it has got the nickname “Kharkov Disneyland”. More information you can get from http://www.ukrainianfiancee.com/kharkovcity.htm.

3. Annunciation Cathedral

Whether you are a religious person or not, you must see the Annunciation Cathedral in Kharkov. It was built in the 17th century, but soon destroyed by the fire. Nowadays, the majestic look of the church attracts lots of tourists.

We strongly recommend you to see it in the evening, when the church is shining with yellow and blue colours. This and other sights are described here http://www.ukrainianfiancee.com/kharkovcity.htm#othphotos in detail.

4. Old architecture in German and Dutch style

One look at the city architecture may remind you the Soviet Union. Actually, it’s not far from being the truth, because, in general, the architecture looks pretty similar. But not everywhere.

There’s a special place, called “Holland quarter” where long ago rich people from Holland and Germany lived. That’s why the buildings there were built in old European style. It looks very romantic. As romantic as the Ukrainian women, and you can read about them, following the link http://www.ukrainianfiancee.com/aboutukrladies.htm.

5. Small Beer Breweries

When we think of the biggest beer-brewing countries, Germany and Czech Republic always come to mind. However, Ukraine has its own brewing traditions. Breweries of all kinds are becoming more and more popular.

These are not ordinary cafes, where you can only enjoy your ale. Here you can observe the whole process of beer producing, taste it and participate in different festivals. That’s also one of the reasons to visit Kharkiv and you can easily do it, following the instruction here: http://www.ukrainianfiancee.com/tours.htm.
