Do you know about Kharkov, the 2nd largest city of Ukraine?
A lot of people know Kharkov as a former capital of the USSR.
This status predetermined further development of the city and it became industrial and educational centre of Ukraine. But the time goes on. The Soviet Union exists no longer and Ukraine changes and moves towards the European Union and Kharkov changes with it. So if you come to this city today, you may be sure, that you won’t be disappointed. And we are going to give you five reasons to prove it:
1. Architecture
First of all, Kharkov architecture is famous for its central square, called Svoboby Square. It’s considered to be the biggest square in Europe. You can see a few other places of interest there: Shevchenko part, The Mirror Stream Fountain, etc. Kharkov is a modern city. Of course, buildings from Soviet times prevail, but now there’re a lot of modern constructions and establishments. One of them is Metalist Stadium. Karkov is also full of churches, cathedrals, etc
2. Nature
Although the city is highly industrial, it cherishes and preserves its nature. And the best prove to that is Feldman Park, originated by a meacenas A. B. Feldman. It’s a big zoo, where you can see rare animal species absolutely free of charge. Another place of great interest is Gorkiy Park. A few years ago there was nothing, but a few attractions, but now it’s a real Disneyland where you can not only relax, but have a lot of fun and meet attractive girls like these: http://www.ukrainianfiancee.com/new/.
3. Food
Relaxing in the park, you can’t help trying some dishes of the Ukrainian cuisine. Varenyky, galushky, borshch, uzvar – this is a short list of dishes, which a foreigner should try, while staying in Kharkov. Forget about diets. The Ukrainians are not used to counting calories. But it’s so tasty, that we can’t blame them for that. Moreover, you won’t have any problems with finding a place to eat. You can even phone and order food right into your hotel or apartment.
4. Culture
Kharkov is a unique city. There’re a lot of educational establishments there, and students from all corners of the globe come here to study. Foreign students feel like they found a new home here, and reluctantly leave the city, enriching it with their culture. The Russian influence is the greatest. That’s why Russian language is even more widely-used in the city, than Ukrainian. But the point is, that no matter where you are from, soon you will feel here like at home.
5. Beautiful Women
The beauty of the Ukrainian women is widely-known. Nevertheless, everyone agrees, that the most beautiful girls live in Kharkov. In order to see a few of them, you can visit http://ukrainianfiancee.com/. There’s no explanation to this fact. However, no matter where you are: at the restaurant, theatre or even waiting for a bus on a bus station, you will see a real proof of beauty of the Ukrainian women. They are the most remarkable sight of interest and pride of the city.
Kharkov is a city of contrasts. Soviet standards and European architecture co-exist and enrich each other. It’s worth visiting. And when the fans from all over the European continent came to Kharkov during Euro-2012, they were excited by the beauty of this city, by its culture, food and, of course, girls, which can be found on http://www.ukrainianfiancee.com/ladies/.
